The countdown is on for a likely recall election against Tamarac Commissioner Patricia Atkins-Grad.
The petition signatures have been validated and, once she's served, Atkins-Grad will have five days to decide whether or not she'll step down.
Recall organizer Sharon Aron Baron says the supervisor of elections office is gearing up to stage the recall vote within 30 to 60 days.
Aron Baron says many residents want the commissioner out, because, they say, she's corrupt.
Atkins-Grad had faced corruption charges last year, but was acquitted.
Atkins-Grad has made no comment since the elections office announced the signatures had been validated.
